A new addition to the Thailand Privilege program is the introduction of the Thailand Privilege Points System. This brand-new feature gives you an allotment of privilege points every year that you can redeem for free perks, giving you the ability to choose your benefits instead of being locked into a standard array of rewards.
What are these special discount perks?
- As a Thailand Privilege member, you are entitled to special discounts, promotions, and preferential rates at various merchants: shops, malls, hotels, restaurants, resorts, spas, etc.
- Some of these are complimentary (i.e. you don’t need to spend your “privilege points”) just for being a member.
- Others may require you to redeem privilege points, or book ahead, or follow some special conditions.
Thailand Privilege Points
Each membership tier (except Bronze) provides a set number of points per year, which reset at the beginning of each new year. For example, with a Gold membership, you receive 20 privilege points annually, and the total resets to 20 every year regardless of how many you used in the previous year. Below are just a few examples of the hundreds of perks available and their point costs:
- 1 Point
- Complimentary nights or dining at leading hotel establishments
- Car Rentals
- Airport Transfer and Lounges
- Select Spa Packages
- Access to an Elite Personal Liaison (EPL) for 90-day reporting assistance
- 2 Points
- Golf Course Packages

- Dental Services Packages
- Access to an Elite Personal Liaison (EPL) for assistance with opening a bank account

What you need to use them?
Here are the things you’ll normally need to present or have in order to redeem the discounts:
- Thailand Privilege membership card (physical)
- This is often required to identify you as a member. If you don’t yet have it, you should request one after you receive your membership ID.
- It can take some time (e.g. a couple of months) to be issued.
- Membership ID
- Sometimes, if you don’t have the physical card, they’ll accept your membership ID plus some proof of identity.
- Proof of identity (passport or similar)
- To avoid misuse, the vendor may ask for your passport (or other ID) to verify your name matches the membership.
- Advance booking, if required
- Some special discounts (especially for hotels, shows, spa treatments, etc.) require advance reservations.
- Also, the discount conditions will often include that you must book via a special channel (via the Thailand Privilege Member Contact Center, via the app or a special form), or notify the vendor in advance.
- Some special discounts (especially for hotels, shows, spa treatments, etc.) require advance reservations.
- Using Privilege Points, if the discount is one that uses points
- Check whether the offer is one that is “complimentary” vs “point-redeemable.”
- If points are needed, ensure you have enough, and you redeem them properly (via the app, via contacting the vendor / Thailand Privilege Center).
- Presenting the card at point of sale
- Usually to get the discount you need to present your Thailand Privilege Card / show membership at the time you pay or check in.
