How do I conduct mental health checkups as part of the background check?

450 views 0 November 15, 2023 Updated on September 30, 2025 siamlegalthailand

Thai Immigration authorities will be reviewing and accessing a Thailand Privilege applicant’s background for the following:

  • history of criminal activity
  • history of bankruptcy
  • evidence of overstays on file

In addition to this, applicants will also need to prove that they are mentally stable and of sound mind.

Are medical certificates required for this?

There is no rule requiring mental health checkups as part of the application, and no medical certificates are required. Applicants only need to sign a consent form. Mental health assessment is done through background checks.
