Before you go through the background check, there are steps that you need to do beforehand. This includes:
- Fill out and sign the Thai Elite application form
- Sign the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) form
- A photo of yourself in front of a white background
- A photocopy of your passport
If you are applying through a GSSA agent, like Siam Legal, they will assist you in applying for the Thailand Privilege Visa.
- A consultant at Siam Legal will guide you through the application process, helping you choose the best package, answer all of your questions and concerns, help you complete the form, and show you where to sign.
If you’re applying for a Thailand Privilege Visa in person with a consultant, you’ll be given the application and PDPA forms during the consultation session. Plus, the consultant will take a photo of you and scan your passport.
If you are applying from abroad, the consultant will send you the application form to fill out and sign, along with signing page 8 of the PDPA form. The applicant will only need to scan or take a photo of the passport information page and take a photo of themselves in front of a white background. Then they will be forwarded to Thai Immigration Authorities for a background check. This will include the following:
- History of ED visas (if not genuine) and/or volunteer visas if they visited Thailand in the past
- Removal orders, overstays, and/or blacklists
- Bankruptcies
- Criminal record history
The process takes 3 to 4 weeks, varying based on the applicant’s immigration status and history. Officials assess the applicant’s history, both in Thailand and other countries.
You will receive an approval letter and invoice upon successful completion of your background check.
Pay your membership fees to the Thailand Privilege Card within 30 days of receiving the letter and invoice.
